Hip Hop Lindy is a hip hop partner dance. And it is hard as hell to do.
Why is this? Hip Hop Lindy is based from the basic framework of Lindy Hop, but is danced with the style, music, and aggression of Hip Hop. A good knowledge of both dances is a prerequisite, so a tremendous amount of time and energy are going into developing this hybrid form by the dancers who are doing it.
There are certainly those that discredit Hip Hop Lindy. To these folks, Hip Hop Lindy is not "real lindy" or "real hip hop". In a way, these people are right! Of course Hip Hop Lindy is not for strict historical purists, it's an evolving form for innovators who have a healthy respect for both dances, and the masters who created them.
